Grundens Clipper Apron White
A lightweight, 100% waterproof commercial fishing apron built to keep you covered through long days of fish processing, deck work, and other wet Alaska jobs.
Why you need this:
Fish processing isn't exactly a clean-and-dry operation. Whether you're working through a pile of salmon, breaking down halibut, handling bait, or putting in a long day on deck, the Grundens Clipper Apron puts a waterproof barrier between you and the mess.
Grundens describes the Clipper as a lighter-weight version of its time-tested Herkules Apron, built specifically for long days of processing. You get straightforward 100% waterproof protection without more apron than the job calls for.
For Alaska anglers and Commercial Fishermen, that's a pretty useful combination: simple gear, solid coverage, and fewer fish guts making it onto your clothes.
What's it made with?
The Clipper uses a PVC-coated exterior with a cotton/poly blend backer. This construction provides waterproof protection while keeping the Clipper lighter than Grundens' heavier-duty Herkules Apron.
What's this good for?
- Salmon cleaning and processing
- Halibut and bottomfish processing
- Commercial fishing
- Fish handling
- Boat and deck work
- Seafood processing
- Bait preparation
- Cleaning fishing gear
- Wet and messy jobs around the boat, cabin, or shop
How to use?
Slip the neck strap over your head, adjust it for comfortable coverage, and secure the adjustable waist strap. It's a straightforward work apron designed to go on quickly when the fish hit the cleaning table.
For care, Grundens recommends machine washing at 40°C with mild detergent and washing with like colors. Tumble dry low. Don't iron or dry clean, and don't use powdered detergent, fabric softener, or bleach.
What can we say?
White probably won't stay white for long during an Alaska salmon season—and that's sort of the point.
This is working gear. Throw it on, clean fish, get messy, wash it off, and get ready for the next pile.
Why we love this one:
The Clipper gives you 100% waterproof protection in a lighter-weight commercial apron. Adjustable neck and waist straps help you dial in the fit, while the simple design keeps it practical for long days around the cleaning table or processing line.
For home fish processing, charter operations, commercial fishing, and anyone regularly working around wet decks and fresh catch, it's an uncomplicated piece of gear that earns its keep.
