Whether you've got a reel that needs basic seasonal maintenance, a specific issue to fix or a reel desperate for a "full monty" deep clean, you're in the right place. Here at B&J's Tackle Repair Center, we take reel repair and maintenance seriously. That's why, with every reel we service, we employ a rigorous, multi-step review process on each reel we put our hands to. With two servicing levels plus an option to fix a specific issue only, you can select the level of service most appropriate for your reel.

Submitting Your Reel Repair Service Request Form

STEP 1: Tell us about your reel

To ensure we have accurate service records on file, our technicians have correct information about your reel, and that your reel is returned to you in a timely fashion we need to collect some essential data. On this webpage (screen right on most larger screens/above on smaller mobile devices), we need you to inform us of the following:

2. Check your Reel Type | Baitcasting Reel, Spinning/Conventional Reel, Fly Reel, Electric Reel, Other
   1. Multiple boxes can be selected if you are submitting a request for more than one reel type on this service request
3. Tell us your Reel Make/Model
   1. Who was the maker/manufacturer of your reel and what is the model name/number?
      1. ex. Okuma / Sierra X / SX5/6
4. Tell us your Reel Size
   1. What is the size of your reel?
      1. ex. 5-6 wt
5. Tell us your Reel Color
   1. What is the primary color of your reel?
      1. ex. Gunmetal Gray
6. Enter your Reel Serial Number
   1. If known, what is the serial number of your reel?
      1. They are often found engraved on the foot of the reel. Not all reels have serial numbers.
7. Tell us your Approximate Age of Reel
   1. If known, this information is helpful in the event we need to order parts. Please note, the older a reel, the more difficult it can be to obtain replacement parts.
8. Select your Permissions
   1. Indicate the cap at which you'd like us to contact you regarding the cost of replacement parts
9. Tell us any Additional Info
   1. If any, please tell us anything else we need to know about your reel
      1. ex. Broken handle, grinding berings, replace spool cap, will drop off in person, shipping my reel to you via USPS please call when they arrive, etc...

STEP 2: Review and submit your Reel Repair Service Request

Before selecting the "Add to Bag" button on this webpage, take a moment to ensure the information you've included is correct. Once you're satisfied everything is correct, select the "Add to Bag" button and complete the rest of the check out process. This will ensure we have the most updated contact information on file and in your customer account. This will also ensure your place in our reel repair que is saved.

STEP 3: Review our Customer Agreement

By submitting your reel to our B&J's Tackle Repair Center (TRC), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

STEP 4: Check your email

Now that you've completed the check out process, you should receive a confirmation email with all of the information about your reel. If you haven't received a confirmation email, please check your SPAM or JUNK mail boxes before reaching out to us.

1. Print | Please print the PDF attached to your confirmation email.
2. Drop Off | If you're dropping off your reel in person, bring the printed PDF, along with your reel to our shop.
3. Shipping | If you're sending your reel to us by mail, please include the printed PDF in the box along with your reel. Please make sure your reels are well packed to avoid damage while in transit.
