Sometimes you don't want all your scent released at once. B&J Alaskan Oil Slick Pellets are designed to dissolve gradually, steadily releasing pure herring oil into the water to create a continuous scent trail that helps fish locate your bait.
The pellet shape offers a slower release than crystals, making them an excellent option for longer soaks when targeting halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and other bottom fish. Simply add them to your bait jars, chum bags, or around your bait and let the current do the work.
Our Alaskan Oil Slick Pellets are made from food-grade sodium chloride pellets infused with pure herring oil. As they dissolve, they release scent naturally while remaining environmentally friendly.
Add pellets directly to your bait container, chum bag, bait jar, or around cut bait before dropping your gear. The pellets dissolve gradually, providing a steady release of herring oil over time. Replenish throughout the day depending on current, tide, and soak duration.
Ideal for enhancing scent when targeting:
Current moves scent. Fish follow scent. We simply help connect the two.
The pellet formula is perfect when you're planning longer soaks. Rather than dumping a big burst of scent immediately, it continues releasing herring oil over an extended period, keeping your scent trail working while your bait stays on the bottom.
Sold in a 6 lb resealable container that's perfect for anglers who fish throughout the season or want plenty of product for multiple trips.
