The Natural option gives Alaska anglers another presentation to keep in rotation when preparing roe for salmon and trout fishing. One 16 oz container cures approximately 20 lbs of skein or single eggs, so a little goes a long way when you're putting up bait during salmon season.

What's this good for?

Natural Lunch Lady is designed for curing salmon roe and single eggs for bait. In Alaska, cured eggs are commonly used when targeting:

• Steelhead

How to use?

For every 1 lb of roe, place your eggs in a sealable container and sprinkle them with 3 tablespoons of Lunch Lady Egg Cure. Whole skeins can be opened and cured whole or cut into clusters first.

Allow juices to develop for approximately 12 hours, turning the eggs several times so they cure evenly. Leave them at room temperature for a total of 24 hours and they're ready to fish.

If you're preparing bait for the freezer, Nate's recommends draining approximately half of the developed liquid before freezing.

A little cure advice:

Wear heavy-duty rubber gloves and work somewhere with good ventilation. Even when you're using a Natural cure, egg processing and bait preparation aren't exactly white-tablecloth activities. Protect clothing and work surfaces, keep the cure and finished bait away from kids and pets, and always follow the instructions and warnings on the product label.
